I work at the intersection of technical expertise and institutional development in the water and solid waste sectors. Over the last 35 years, I have worked in Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Middle East, and I have observed that many transitions fail because stakeholders do not share the same vision of why change is necessary or what levers of action are available to them. My work consists of building this common vision, with particular attention to the infrastructures on which public services rely.

As a systems analyst, my role is to map out the challenges, identify the driving forces for change, and pinpoint absent or ineffective regulatory capacities. My intelligence skills allow me to test hypotheses about interaction mechanisms and develop models representing a system's behavior based on evolving circumstances. From this diagnosis, I design and implement targeted interventions (capacity building, institutional frameworks, planning tools, monitoring systems, infrastructure) that enable the transition process to take root.

Reconciling different perspectives is a key success factor for understanding complex issues. By analyzing each stakeholder's position from an external and independent viewpoint, I develop an overall vision of the system in action. In concrete terms, I highlight interactions that my clients cannot perceive on their own and guide them towards establishing genuine synergies within value chains rather than settling for poorly defined compromises.
