François-Xavier Dufour

An engineer by training, I have worked for several years in higher education on issues of guidance, career paths, and professional integration.

I have notably managed programs and supported students in building their projects: choosing a specialization, reflecting on their professional trajectory, preparing for entry into the workforce, or reorienting.

This work has convinced me of one thing: guidance is only truly effective when the person is their own driving force. My role is therefore not to tell young people what to do, but to help them better understand their desires, their skills, and the opportunities available to them, so that they can make their own choices.

I now work on school guidance, project development, and moments of transition in a career. The goal is to help them gain perspective, clarify their options, and move forward with a direction that makes sense.

My approach is based above all on listening, exchange, and analysis of their journeys. Each situation is different, and it is often in discussion that breakthroughs occur.

My leitmotif, the quote from Saint-Exupéry:

"If you want to build a ship, don't drum up people to give orders, to divide tasks, or to tell you where to get the wood. Instead, stir up in their hearts the longing for the vast and endless sea."
