VMEH: A 100% AI Film Serving NGOs

VMEH is a revolutionary cinematic project, entirely conceived with generative artificial intelligence tools (Runway, Veo3, etc.), to tell a story that matters.

VMEH is an association that is 400 years old. Having very little audiovisual material, they asked me to tell their story entirely from shots created by generative AI.

Through this film, I demonstrate how AI can amplify the impact of NGOs by creating powerful, quick-to-produce, and accessible visual content, without sacrificing emotion or quality. The film is called La chaise.

Why this project?

NGOs have essential messages to share, but often limited budgets. With VMEH, I prove that it is possible to:

Reduce production costs while maintaining impactful storytelling.

Gain responsiveness: quickly adapt content for urgent campaigns (humanitarian crises, donation appeals, awareness).

Reach new audiences through innovative visuals, generated from data or archives.

A tool for NGOs

This film is not just a technical demonstration: it is concrete proof that associations can use AI to:

90th Anniversary Film of the Biarritz Aquarium: AI serving history and immersion.

Created in collaboration with Marion Etcheverry, director of the Biarritz Aquarium, this 8-minute 180-degree film is shown daily in a dedicated room, immersing visitors in 90 years of maritime history. One-third of the film was created using artificial intelligence (Runway, motion brush tools), allowing for the animation of photo archives and historical documents to recreate landscapes, atmospheres, and key moments of the aquarium and the city.

The innovation serving emotion

Animation of archives: Transformation of still photos (landscapes, buildings, life scenes) into dynamic sequences for total immersion.

Panoramic effect: The 180° format envelops the viewer, giving the impression of being surrounded by the ocean and the history of Biarritz.

Technology/heritage alliance: AI brought archival images to life (waves, animals, lost buildings), while respecting the authenticity of places and eras.

A unique project, praised by the press:

As the TaisToiDonc article explains, "This allows for widening the projected field and thus giving the sensation, when entering the room, that we are surrounded by images of the aquarium and Biarritz, and by animated archival images." This film demonstrates how AI can enrich cultural mediation and offer an unparalleled educational and sensory experience.

My role:

Concept and direction: Scriptwriting, archive selection, artistic direction.

AI integration: Use of tools like Runway to animate visual elements, in addition to live-action footage.
