Franck Tankouan

I am a Senior Data Scientist / AI & ML Engineer with over 8 years of experience in developing, deploying, and stably operating machine learning and data analytics solutions in production environments. My focus is on MLOps, scalable data & ML pipelines, and the implementation of advanced analytics (descriptive, predictive, prescriptive) in corporate processes – from exploratory data analysis to the finished dashboard.

Technologically, I primarily work with Python and R (Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Spark/Databricks), SQL, and modern data analytics and BI tools such as Power BI and R Shiny. In the Microsoft ecosystem, I increasingly rely on Microsoft Fabric (including Lakehouse, Notebooks, Pipelines) and Azure ML Studio to build integrated data platforms, reports, and ML models. I implement CI/CD, containerization, and the entire ML lifecycle with GitLab CI, Git, Docker, MLflow, and common cloud services. Project experience includes predictive maintenance, monitoring platforms, NLP/sentiment analysis, process mining, and forecasting and reporting solutions with interactive dashboards.

I have extensive experience in the energy & industrial, healthcare (statutory health insurance), banking & financial services, insurance, and transport & logistics sectors. In addition to technical implementation, I am happy to take on the role of an interface between business departments and IT, moderate workshops, and train teams in data science, data analytics, and BI topics.

I am fluent in German and French, and proficient in English, and I am looking for projects where data, analytics, and ML models are not only conceived but also brought into production sustainably, comprehensibly, and efficiently – in close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
