Francesco Putortì

I'm a sound engineer based in Rome, trained at Abbey Road Institute London. I work as lead engineer at Forward Studios on a Neve 88R console, and I've spent time in some of Europe's most respected rooms Strongroom London, Forum Music Village (founded by Ennio Morricone), Artistic Palace, Midilive in Paris, and studios across Rome including MOB, JEDI, and Digital Records.

I handle recording, mixing, mastering, and audio restoration with iZotope RX. Most of my work starts in studio. I engineer live sessions and carry the project through to final mix myself. I also work remotely: send me your stems, I deliver a mix reference within 48 hours, two rounds of revisions included.

I work in-the-box for speed, with a final analog chain through Dangerous and Burl converters, Pendulum PL-2, Levelor MkII, and SP404 for craziness. The result is precise and fast, but never sterile.

I'm also the founder of Band & Breakfast, a music residency company active across Rome, Paris, Amsterdam and London. Running it keeps me close to artists at every stage of a project from pre-production to release and it shapes how I listen.
