About Florine

Passionate about foreign languages and civilizations, I chose higher education in their heart. Chinese (Mandarin) and English were my specialization choices.
I developed a growing interest in translation (Chinese/French) during my bachelor's degree, and after a gap year during which I traveled for several months in Taiwan (2024-2025), this interest has been further nourished with a master's degree focused on Sinology and specialized translation.
With accumulated experience, learning, and knowledge, I now offer my services as a translator on this platform to facilitate international communication and education. Despite my interest in literary translation, I am of course also trained in many other themes related to the cultural sector (tourism, journalism, cultural mediation, etc.).
Looking forward to working with you!

    TRAVEL AND TOURISM
    June 2024 - June 2025 (1 year)
    Taipei, Taiwan
Graduated with aBachelor's degree in Applied Foreign Languages (BAC+3)in 2024, I was eager to dedicate a gap year to discovering Taiwanese culture, for which I have had a notable interest for years. Deepening my Sinology knowledge before continuing my higher education was also important to me.

The first part of this gap year was dedicated to organizing the trip from A to Z. It was essential to maximize the profitability of this multi-month trip by visiting as many places as possible, including cities, museums, historical sites, and national parks. The meticulous planning of this trip allowed me to immerse myself in the history and culture of the island of Formosa even before leaving. After a total immersion of several months in Taiwan starting in early 2025, I can confirm today that it offered me the opportunity to improve my oral comprehension and expression, learn traditional characters, understand the island's history, and, accompanied by Taiwanese correspondents, discover the culture in a way different from academic books.

To make my explanation completely clear to you, this trip brought me:
    • Absolute immersion in the country and its culture.
    • Intensive learning of traditional characters.
    • Discovery of Taiwanese literature and the study of calligraphy.
    • Deepening of geographical and historical knowledge of the island with an itinerary from north to south, mainly along the west coast.
    • Rapid adaptation to new cultural habits and unfamiliar places.
    • Human contact enabling active improvement of oral expression and comprehension.

Education

  • Master 1: LLCER - Foreign Cultures and Translation (Chinese) (BAC+4)
    University of Artois - Arras
  • Bachelor's degree in Applied Foreign Languages (English-Chinese) (BAC+3)
UPJV (University of Picardie Jules Verne)
    2024
