Florian Kontny

I am Florian Kontny – Composer and Sound Designer from near Stuttgart. Music has always been my passion. I started with the piano, but it really took off at 13 as the drummer in my first band. After that, I learned the basics on the guitar.

After studying audiovisual media with a focus on sound in Stuttgart, I founded my own studio with two colleagues as a freelancer collective: Klangstatt Stuttgart.

After several years as a sound engineer, sound designer in the film industry, and songwriter for production music, I have now specialized in what excites me the most: composing film music, advertising music, and the associated sound design – always with the goal of making emotions audible. Music should move, inspire, and ideally give you goosebumps.

I am inspired by anything that achieves exactly that. I like electronic, intricate sounds and epic orchestral clouds. I love combining both and creating new sound worlds that touch.
