During my year at the CIB of an investment bank, I was tasked with modernizing an aging stack from scratch.
Before I arrived: CI/CD ran on Jenkins, regression tests (TNR) were launched manually from Python notebooks, and applications ran on Service Fabric (Windows machines).
What I architected and implemented:
CI Overhaul: Complete migration of pipelines to GitHub Actions.
GitOps Approach for CD: Implementation of ArgoCD to industrialize deployment.
Kubernetes Migration: Transition to K8s with the creation of "off-the-shelf" Helm templates for easy deployment of Java microservices (with HPA/VPA scalability configuration).
Data Environment: Automated deployment of Jupyter Notebook platforms directly on Kubernetes and the core Java application.
Quality & Security: Securing CI/CD with Harbor, JFrog Artifactory, and integration of SonarQube/Xray scans.
Full Automation: Creation of custom GitHub Apps to automate version management and implementation of schedulers for regression test execution.
