- Schneider ElectricS/w embedded developer and ArchitectENERGY AND UTILITIESAugust 2023 - Today (2 years and 11 months)Carros, FranceI led and contributed to the design and delivery of safety PLCs, communication modules and processor modules for industrial automation, working end‑to‑end from architecture and development to debugging, testing and certification within a CI/CD environment. I was a key contributor to a dual‑CPU safety PLC program (2023–2024), helped develop a high‑performance EIP / Modbus TCP communication module (2025), and I am currently part of the team building a single‑CPU processor module for compact industrial applications (2026).My role combined hands‑on firmware and system development (C/C++, VxWorks, Linux scripting, Python) with close collaboration with validation & verification teams to design system tests and implement robust unit testing using Parasoft and Google Test. I drove debugging and delivery processes, supported FIT and audit activities for certification, and ensured software quality and compliance across the product lifecycle.I operated on ARM9 hardware (BareMetal and VxWorks), used standard and proprietary protocols (EIP, Modbus TCP, LLC/SNAP/LLDP and others), and managed code and releases with GitLab/GitHub/ClearCase. Daily collaboration and project management relied on Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Teams and Microsoft Copilot, while development environments included Workbench 3.3/4, VSC and proprietary tools.
- Miraitek SrlS/w embedded developer and ArchitectINTERNET OF THINGS (IOT)January 2023 - September 2024 (1 year and 8 months)Milan, ItalyI engineered an edge application for field data extraction and cloud integration for CAN‑networked systems, leading testing activities and directing the development of the accompanying web portal. The solution extracts, packages and transmits field data to the cloud, running on an arm32 board and implemented with the Qt framework (C++). To ensure portability and scalability, the application was containerized with Docker and deployed on Linux, while communication relied on CANopen and a TCP/IP Modbus client/server model; cloud connectivity was achieved via WebSocket and API socket interfaces.I coordinated integration and qualification with hardware suppliers and led functional testing and on‑site qualification to guarantee system integrity and performance. I also managed software configuration with GIT and guided external web teams to deliver an intuitive, user‑centric portal. The project combined embedded engineering, cross‑team coordination and production‑grade delivery practices to produce a robust, field‑ready product.Technologies and tools used included Qt/C++, cross‑compilation toolchains for arm32, Docker, Linux, CANopen, Modbus/TCP, WebSocket/API design, GIT, and standard functional and qualification testing on COTS platforms.
- Ferrari GES Racing TeamS/w embedded developer and ArchitectAUTOMOBILEFebruary 2022 - December 2022 (10 months)Maranello, ItalyI led the porting and development of the embedded ECU software for the Battery Management System (BMS) of the hybrid car LMH 499P, managing the transition from a previous project and ensuring full system integration and performance. I adapted and optimized an existing ANSI C codebase within an Eclipse‑based environment, porting it to run on FreeRTOS and tuning real‑time behavior for the target ECU. To enhance functionality and control algorithms, I integrated MATLAB modules into the firmware and collaborated with sub‑teams responsible for other vehicle ECUs to guarantee system harmony.A key part of the work was CAN bus analysis and performance tuning using Canalyzer, ensuring accurate migration of features and reliable inter‑ECU communication. I employed proprietary debugging tools to increase software robustness and led integration, functional testing and on‑site qualification activities to validate the ported software under real conditions. Project coordination and documentation were managed with JIRA and Confluence, while version control and configuration management were maintained with GIT.
