About Fanny

#ReadyToHelp Mobile development expert. I am a Google Developer Expert on Android, which means that my expertise and pedagogy are recognized by Google.

My specialty in mobile development is Android. I have worked on the Treely, Antibiogo, Mementop, etc. applications. I also develop on iOS, particularly currently on the Le Localisateur application.

I also have experience in other areas such as front-end web and back-end development. This multitude of skills allows me to adapt quickly in a new context and a new team.

Community is important to me. I give technical conferences in France (Nantes, Paris, Lille), but also abroad: Droidcon Italy, Droidcon London. I am also one of the organizers of the Google Developer Group of Lille, a community of 2000 developers. I organize meetups there and also the Devfest Lille, a one-day conference hosting 1500 people. Giving others the opportunity to learn and share about IT technologies, and at the same time continue to learn and discover new things are objectives that drive me on a daily basis.

Developing for a good cause is a real source of motivation. In 2020 I had the opportunity to contribute to the backend development of the Minutis application of the Red Cross. This application was heavily used during this epidemic period. I also contributed to the Vite Ma Dose application, in particular to improve the accessibility of this essential application at the time to quickly find an appointment to get vaccinated.

    Lead web and mobile developer
    MEDICAL
    May 2021 - August 2021 (3 months)
Working on Antibiogo : a project aiming to reduce antibiotic resistance using AI.
My contributions to this project :
    • Creation of a new back office application to manage the laboratory configuration (VueJS for the frontend and Firebase for the backend with Cloud Storage, Firestore and Cloud Functions)
    • Evolution of the android application regarding new back-office changes and new requirements
    Vue.js Android Kotlin Firebase JavaScript
  • SMART MACADAM
    Mobile Team Lead
    HEALTH AND WELLNESS
    April 2020 - Today (6 years and 2 months)
Within the Smart Macadam startup, I was able to contribute to the development of the android Mementop application. This application aims to help people suffering from Alzheimer's disease.

I initially evolved as a senior android developer. In pairs with my colleague, we built the application from scratch with the following technical basis: A modular application, MVVM architecture, Dependency injection via Koin, systematic writing of unit tests and interface tests in BDD mode, Use of Livedata and Flow, Constraint Layout, Data binding, Navigation component etc...
Our two challenges on this project:
    • Ensure the robustness of the application, given the impact on the mental health of our already fragile users in the event of a crash or bug.
    • Implement accessibility principles. When we talk about accessibility, we obviously think of visual accessibility, but in our case we also paid particular attention to cognitive accessibility. An exciting challenge carried out in collaboration with our UI/UX Designer, which allowed us to improve the user experience of the application for all our users.

I also contributed to the development of our backend on Firebase, in particular in the design of our data model on Firestore. But also via the development of cloud functions (HTTP, Trigger) in NodeJS.

Subsequently, I took responsibility for managing the technical team. Following this appointment, I implemented the Scrum method within the product team, for example. I used the moving motivators from Management 3.0 for the individual management of the team.

Finally, I made up for the lack of a product manager by taking on part of the responsibilities of this role, in particular:
    • the establishment and management of a backlog
    • the establishment of a roadmap associated with a product strategy and a schedule
    • the preparation and monitoring of sprints and deliveries.

  • Premedit
    Lead mobile developer
    MEDICAL
    December 2018 - Today (7 years and 6 months)
    Lille, France
Within the Premedit startup, I worked as a Lead mobile dev with a team of 4 junior iOS/android/web developers that I had to supervise. I was also working as an android (Kotlin) developer.
On the android side, here are the projects that I carried out on the Running Care application that already existed when I arrived: Transition from Java to Kotlin, transition from an MVC to MVVM architecture, Implementation of tests (unit & UI), use of constraints layouts, data-binding. In general: progressive implementation of Android Architecture Component.
I also had the opportunity to develop web POCs in VueJS highlighted during various business opportunities (with ASO or Runtastic for example).

On the management side, I usually use the movings motivators from Management 3.0 to identify the motivations of my colleagues. I also set up monthly workshops during which we discussed reading a few chapters of a book (Clean code for example), then one of the team members shared a discovery made in their development universe (android, ios or web).

I also organized various BBLs at lunchtime, involving my contacts to talk to us about Kotlin, VueJS, Web, etc...
