Fabian Scholz

Hi, I'm Fabian Scholz.

After a brief detour into legal studies, I studied Communication Design in Bielefeld. Even during my studies, I worked as a freelancer for agencies and publishers in Bielefeld, Bochum, Essen, Gelsenkirchen, and Stuttgart. Emotionally strongly connected to the Ruhr area, I moved back to Essen after graduation, where I founded my design agency ESY.

Since then, I have built up further projects: Tourisim GmbH, based in Essen and Los Angeles, which provides travelers with SIM cards and eSIMs, the brand Popotti with a focus on sustainable products, and Kreativschulung, my provider of seminars on design, marketing, and accessibility.

In addition, I regularly speak at events such as OMT, Ruhrpitch, Startup Olympics, or Google Commerce Camp, work as a lecturer for Google Germany in the field of SEO & SEA, and write technical articles for magazines like Ryte or OMT. As a technical author, I publish a work on Figma and UI/UX with Rheinwerk Verlag.

I also support the startup scene: as a startup consultant at KölnBusiness, in the Senkrechtstarter Bochum program, or as a board member of Wirtschaftsjunioren Essen with a focus on education and culture. Since 2020, I have also been the deputy spokesperson for JuMPs in the Marketing Club Ruhr.

Over the years, I have given hundreds of hours of seminars and attended just as many. Further training is crucial for me – which is why I have obtained certificates such as Online Marketing Manager (IHK), Google Ads Expert, Ryte SEO Expert, IHK Trainer, INQA Coach, and BAFA Consultant.

My hometown Essen means a lot to me. I voluntarily support initiatives like #Essenbleibgrün or KlimaEntscheid Essen and remain a loyal fan of Rot-Weiss Essen. Today, you can book me as a freelancer, keynote speaker, marketer, or consultant.
