Doctor of Private Law and Criminal Sciences, I have been interested in the protection of freedoms and privacy since 1998, particularly in relation to IT systems and networks and cybersecurity.
I have notably led the ethical compliance of technologies developed within European projects and I am an expert for the Council of Europe in the compliance of legislation and judicial practices with conventions on cybercrime, electronic evidence, and fundamental rights. These experiences have allowed me to develop both a global and detailed understanding of data and freedom protection, which is at the heart of my specializations:
- Assistance with compliance and its sustainability (as an external DPO or consultant). The notion of compliance can be understood ethically or be reduced to the more restricted one proposed by the CNIL. Compliance is generally always possible, regardless of the complexity of the project concerned.
- Drafting all or part of a privacy impact assessment (PIA) or data protection impact assessment (DPIA), required by GDPR in certain situations and ideally carried out as part of any sensitive project, whether or not it involves data processing. The method I use is in line with the state of the art, international standards, and CNIL recommendations. A PIA or DPIA includes a risk analysis for rights and freedoms, which I can carry out in conjunction with an IT expert to harmonize it with the PSSI.
- Training in ethics and GDPR (from awareness-raising to skills transfer). I have developed a pedagogical approach to understand and retain GDPR requirements in a simple and intuitive way. I teach it in 4 schools, particularly to IT professionals.
I prefer remote work but can travel for specific needs. Fees decrease with the duration of assignments.
