- Yacht Club du lavandouEscale des voilesSPORTSJune 2020 - June 2020Le Lavandou, FranceDuring a mission for a regatta of old sailing ships, I spent three days between swells and rough waves on a boat specially equipped to face maritime conditions. Armed with my camera and my photo camera, I sailed as close as possible to the boats to capture breathtaking images. My only concern was to take as many photos and videos as possible. Perched at the back of the boat that took me close to each vessel, equipped with my stabilizer, I knew I could get usable footage despite the intense tilt of the boat. Once back in front of my computer, I had hours of video to sort through. The selection process was a bit long, as I wanted to keep the best of the best. Once this stage was completed, editing was easier as I had all the necessary rushes to create a 3-minute video. The regatta organizer, the Yacht Club, was delighted with the video, which attracted even more participants the following year. Of course, during these missions, digital equipment is put to the test, but the result is there and the client's joy is such that all that is forgotten.
