About Emmanuel

Computer engineer, I am passionate about creating useful, intuitive and innovative digital solutions.

I primarily develop in Vue.js and Node.js, but I master all the tools needed to build a complete, high-performance, robust solution (git, hosting, databases, continuous integration, etc.).

Versatile, I can adapt to your technical, functional and organizational needs.

Having developed within several teams, I am very familiar with teamwork. But I am not afraid of autonomy!

I am particularly interested in creating projects, from functional and graphical specifications to the construction of the solution. I also have a particular interest in product vision: beyond the code, what interests me most is understanding user needs to make their daily lives easier.

Feel free to discover my projects and contact me to discuss your project!

    September 2024 - Today (1 year and 11 months)
Creation of a translation automation application for applications (web, mobile, desktop...).

While developing Visual PDF (a personal project), I spent a lot of time on translations. I noticed the same issue in the companies I worked for: developers or the product team spend their time on translations, which impacts team agility, reduces time-to-market, deprioritizes more important tasks, and is demotivating. Translations are generally of average quality, and this process does not allow for translating a product into many languages in a reasonable time.

This gave me the idea to create a project to solve this problem!

Polygot is for teams and developers, offering a web application, a CLI, and an API.

The web application allows you to:
    • manage your projects
    • create glossaries
    • import source i18n files
    • automatically generate contextualized translations
    • download target language i18n files
    • manage translations manually using various tools: editor, history, comparator
    • perform content searches

    The CLI allows developers to:
    • connect code to a Polygot project
    • synchronize source i18n files to generate translations and download target i18n files
    • push modifications to target i18n files

The API allows developers to create their own integrations.

    Miscellaneous information:
    • compatibility (for now) with JSON and XLF i18n file formats
    • marketing website (https://polygothq.com)
    • documentation (https://docs.polygothq.com)
    • hosting on Cloudflare (Workers, KV, R2)
    • Postgres database (hosted on fly.io)
