About Emilie

Libra rising Aquarius, creative slasher, ceramist, Leica addict, mom to Prune and Milo. Graphic Designer.

My story with graphic design began long before my studies. As a child, I spent hours in my painter grandmother's studio. The smell of turpentine, the ripped paint tubes, the canvases drying against the wall... That's where I learned that creating is a language. That colors speak, shapes tell stories, and art has this incredible power to make you feel things without saying a word.

I formalized this sensitivity to images by getting a Baccalaureate in Literature with an option in visual arts, followed by a Master's degree at ECV Bordeaux. No detours, no hesitations. I always knew this is what I wanted to do.

After my studies, I dove into the deep end: graphic designer-illustrator for a merchandising company (Johnny Hallyday, the French Swimming Federation, Amel Bent...), then Head of Creation and Communication for a wood industry company. Diametrically opposed worlds, different constraints, varied challenges. It was formative, intense, and fascinating.

2010: The big leap
But I'm a go-getter. A Libra-Aquarius who needs freedom, who can't stand routine. So in 2010, I created Elegant Design in Seignosse. My studio, my rules, my choices.
Why here, in the Landes region? Because it's where I find my balance. A balance between land and sea that plays with my roots, that recharges me. A paradise on earth.

And then there's photography, first with Canon, now with Leica, ceramics & tufting that I practice on weekends, travel, sports... All these passions fuel my creativity. They teach me to see differently, to compose differently, to dare.

15 years later, over 3600 projects completed, and still the same excitement when starting a new creative adventure.

Anonym Apparel is a great creative encounter: a French fashion brand with exceptional materials: Peruvian Pima cotton, Alpaca wool, driven by a strong manifesto: No Logo.
The identity is not displayed, it is felt.
An ideal playground for an art director who thinks the same way!

Since its launch, I have been overseeing all of the brand's visual communication. I started by laying the foundations: creating the complete branding, from the graphic charter to the brand book, and the web design of the e-commerce site on WordPress and soon Shopify.
I organize and direct photo shoots and video productions, model casting, coordination of service providers, and shooting directly in the brand's photo studio, the creation of which I supervised.
Because a beautiful image is built even before pressing the shutter button.

In parallel, I manage all print materials: catalogs, packaging, brand documents, and I oversee the art direction of social media in collaboration with the brand's intern.

In summary: everything related to Anonym Apparel's image passes through my hands. And frankly, this is exactly where I thrive.

    June 2010 - Today (16 years)
    Bayonne, France
Since 2010, I have been imagining and building meaningful visual identities from my studio in Seignosse, Landes, with my feet in the sand and my head in the pixels.

At Elegant Design, there are no pre-made recipes or recycled templates. Each project begins with a real conversation, attentive listening, and a blank page that is written with you. Because a beautiful identity is first and foremost a well-told story.

My playground covers the entire creative chain:
Branding & visual identity: logo, graphic charter, complete universe

Website creation: WordPress / DIVI, from wireframe to launch
Signage & printing: signs, banners, print materials
Art direction: shoots, campaigns, brand universe

In 15 years, I have had the chance to support very different brands: BOSC, Gérard Darel, Sunelia, France 4 Naturisme, Decathlon, the Thermes de Saubusse, town halls, surf schools, restaurants... so many creative adventures that have taught me that every brand deserves a unique and timeless identity.

I work in a duo with an intern, two pairs of eyes are better than one, especially when it comes to catching that extra space!

So if you are looking for someone who takes your project to heart as much as their own, we have things to discuss.
