A few years ago, I had the opportunity to develop the visual identity for my friend Florian Samain:
I am happy to have assisted him in adapting this identity for his show!
As always when collaborating with Florian, it was an opportunity to add new glyphs to the Samain typeface.
Florian will present a retrospective of his journey from physics student to apprentice magician-mentalist.

Three graphic themes were chosen: "Didactic Magic", or how to combine mathematical glyphs and symbols from classic playing cards; a "Retrospective Cartography", which involved interpreting the narrative of Florian's unique journey through a cartographic system; and finally, the question of the magician's "Gesture", fluid, agile, precise, inspired by the pinter fist, traditionally used in the publishing industry.

This project is not only typographic but was also strongly influenced by my illustration practice, as will be revealed in a future post.
