I bring over 10 years of experience in developing software solutions for companies in various industries. I started as a consultant and later took on management responsibilities as a team lead, but I always remained hands-on with the code.

The Studio

I am a co-founder of Code Pergola, a two-person software studio founded by my partner Sarah Werner and myself.

As a studio, we bring creative visions to life with code – whether it's a prototype for rapid idea validation or sustainably built software solutions. From web and business processes to games, we turn ideas into functional software.

We meet you with your idea right where you are – whether you have a completely fresh idea or already detailed requirements. Using agile tools, we sharpen our shared understanding of what needs to be implemented. We work with product vision, analyze stakeholders and user personas, and develop features in a story map.

Our work takes place primarily remotely, but we are happy to visit you on-site, especially for kick-offs.

Through our experience with games, we adopt a playful approach to software to create enjoyable user experiences. Intuitive operation and clear feedback for users are a natural part of our implementation. This applies to websites as well as process automations that may not have a graphical interface.

Joining as freelance developer supporting them in the automation of various tariff calculation processes, I eventually joined them full-time and eventually led the development of a team of six people including hiring, onboarding and technical mentoring. The technical side consisted mostly of PHP, Python, TypeScript and Postgres deployed on Heroku and a NixOS server.

I co-led a distributed development team to develop a new web platform enabling reverse logistics services provided by C-ECO to remanufacturers. In the beginning I chose and setup the basic application architecture and technology. We ended up using TypeScript with Angular and Preact for the frontend, Java and NodeJS for the backend. All services were deployed on the Azure using tools like App Service, Terraform and Docker. I implemented most of the infrastructure automation for the project.
