Elsa Barbillon

Independent Art Director-Graphic Designer and Artist-Drawer.

Trained in applied arts at the Boulle school, I collaborated as an interior architect for four years with Parisian and international agencies on high-end projects before creating, in 2015, the URGA studio; a creative studio focusing its activity on art direction, print, and publishing.

Outside the context of graphic design commissions, I develop a plastic research around large-format drawing, through minimalist and structured compositions.

Studio of creation and research with variable geometry based in Marseille, Studio Urga aims to offer a transversal vision and tailor-made solutions to its clients. The studio's areas of intervention are art direction, graphic and editorial design, identity creation, and illustration.

URGA celebrates simple, elegant design with an acknowledged penchant for a plastic sensibility associated with clean and structured compositions.
