This is Élodie, a children's book editor since 2013.

After a master's degree in literature, I worked in several major publishing houses: Nathan Jeunesse, Casterman Jeunesse, Flammarion Jeunesse. I collaborated with hundreds of children's authors and translators.

Today, I still work freelance with these 3 major publishers. I am part of the Nathan Jeunesse reading committee. And above all, I now share my experience with as many people as possible. From proofreading to in-depth content and/or style review, I offer a range of services tailored to your needs:

Beta Reading:

Once your first draft is finished, I analyze the content of your story and provide you with a reasoned report on my reading (on the plot, characters, pacing, descriptions, dialogues, etc.). You will thus discover the strengths and weaknesses of your novel and can begin your rewrite with complete peace of mind.

Review / Rewriting:

I meticulously review your manuscript, with annotations throughout the story, on both content and style. I point out inconsistencies, problematic sentences, issues with pacing or structure, etc., then I suggest areas for improvement and offer reformulations.

Proofreading:

As a professional proofreader, I know all the subtleties of the French language (spelling, grammar, syntax) as well as typographical rules. I track down all the typos that have slipped into your manuscript.

My goal is to help you improve your manuscript before sending it to a publishing house or self-publishing it with quality.
