A graduate in 2015 from the École Supérieure d'Art et de Design in Saint Etienne, she collaborated with the Italo-Austrian designer Patrick Rampelotto before joining the EOOS Design studio in Vienna, Austria. There, she designed scenography, accessories, and furniture.
Back in France, she set up her own business and, in 2018, won the Linkcity competition for the CAF Loire headquarters with her Olumine chandelier made by the Bréhat glassworks, with whom she continues to work. In 2021, she won second prize in the La Boule Art Déco competition of Émaux de Longwy with her Cosse vase produced in a limited edition.
Through her collaborations, Elen seeks to participate in the preservation of artisanal and ancestral know-how. Elen Gavillet has been teaching in the Object Design Master's program at the École Supérieure d'Art et Design in Saint-Étienne since January 2021.
