Elena Peno

For 23 years, I have worked as a business administrator, primarily in financial accounting. I currently head the finance department of a municipality, the waterworks, and several foundations. In this role, I am primarily responsible for all accounting, payment transactions, and year-end closing activities. Under my responsibility, accounts payable and accounts receivable are managed, and receivables management is carried out.

Even before my work in accounting, it was essential to improve workflows through continuous optimization and to ensure the correct and timely execution of processes. As a consultant, I was able to support many administrations in introducing double-entry bookkeeping and in valuing all fixed assets. I also participated in the preparation of annual financial statements, where I could apply my profound and comprehensive expertise in accounting.

The business administration degree enabled me to expand my professional knowledge, acquire broad expertise, and develop strong analytical thinking skills. Therefore, I decided to further expand my skills by pursuing a Master's degree in Law.
