Pathan conducts pathology research for hospitals and general practitioners. Histology, cytology, and various specialized techniques are performed on different patient materials. I was asked here to first support IT Management until IT management ceased due to burnout. After that, I served as IT Manager until a new manager was hired. During my work, I was able to improve the current infrastructure. Replacement of the firewall environment with a SonicWall is part of this. Hired to support the IT Head and the Management Team. Temporary IT Head during the absence of the IT Head.

Mauritskliniek is a specialized center for diagnostics and treatment in the fields of dermatology, skin cancer, proctology, and varicose veins. Consisting of 5 locations across the country. Where the technical management was outsourced. Unfortunately, satisfaction with the management was low, which is why I was asked to streamline this as an intermediary/IT Manager. Rolled out Wi-Fi at various locations using Ubiquiti equipment. Rebuilt VPN connections as this was not covered by the management contract and had been neglected. Application manager for Emma (Supplier TimeFF) during the absence of 2 colleagues. Installed and configured Wi-Fi at all locations. Set up data center and servers for use from all VPN locations.

Network security environment within the organization. This involved building and implementing the security and network design for 4 main locations (Dordrecht, Delfzijl, Amsterdam, and Dubai) and 1 data center. Additionally, provided/replaced network and security solutions for more than 80 locations (spread across the globe, including Afghanistan, Mali, Dubai, and the Netherlands). The complete environment consisted of Nokia firewalls and TMG as the security network. Redesigned the entire environment. Check Point was used as the vendor for the environment (main locations equipped with 5400 and endpoint locations with 1430). F5 was implemented as the load balancer and access control system. The entire Ruckus Wi-Fi network was replaced with a Cisco solution, including Cisco WLC and Prime. The Ruckus environment was reconfigured for a subsidiary. Replacement of core switches with Cisco Nexus was also included in the replacement project. Personally responsible for the design, construction, and execution of the complete security environment. All firewalls were configured for central management and equipped with the latest stable version (R80.30 for the 5000 series, R77.20.87 for the 1430). The network largely consists of MPLS and VPN networks. A suitable total solution was implemented for each environment. The entire data center, which was spread across different branches, was migrated; a design was created and built for an externally hosted (redundant) environment. Together with the IT team, the Microsoft environment was also provided with the right solutions. Agreements were made with the organization regarding maintenance for Windows, where maintenance for firewalls, switches, and servers was provided with the latest stable software version. The entire Exchange environment was migrated to Office 365. Enterprise Vault was used for archiving in the old environment. Design and setup of both HDL and LDL designs, including the setup of MER/SER (technical) rooms, including power distribution design and implementation. Design and construction of the Openline Data Center. Both internal and external LAN network design were built considering IPv4 and IPv6. A separate plan was made for placing UPS along with monitoring.
