About Edo

I am a results-oriented, pragmatic IT manager, business consultant, information analyst, scrum master, and product owner. I know better than anyone how to appropriately stimulate my environment to ensure agreements are met. Thanks to my helicopter view, analytical ability, and out-of-the-box thinking, I can reduce complex problems to their essence and solve them innovatively where necessary. I am extremely helpful and involved in my projects and teams, have a good sense of humor, and experience as a business analyst, scrum master, and Agile coach in large Agile/Scrum projects with international clients, such as AMAG, BMW, and ERGO, where German and English are the languages of communication. I am the example of a T-Shaped employee who feels at home in every role.

I am academically trained in computer science with extensive practical IT experience. I gained this experience primarily in the field of system development. In recent times, I have mainly worked as a business consultant, analyst, architect, and product owner. Internationally, I have been working for AMAG (a large Swiss company in the automotive sector) in Cham since March 2024, for ERGO Group AG (insurance) in Cologne from mid-2016 to early 2018, and for BMW AG in Munich from early 2011 to the end of 2014.

In 2020, alongside my IT company, I started my own ceramics business. Working with ceramics, the earthy material, the spinning, using my hands, and the creativity are a wonderful addition to my IT work, where I primarily use my head.

At DUO (Education Executive Agency), I was employed as a senior business analyst/deputy Product Owner in the scrum teams for funding status allocation. The new construction project for the funding status allocation systems for PO (primary education) and MBO (secondary vocational education) had complex structures with a client in The Hague, three scrum teams with team members from Groningen and The Hague in each team, and customers elsewhere in the country (the PO and MBO institutions and their system suppliers). The developed funding status allocation systems have many connections with internal and external systems, such as BRP (Basic Registration of Persons), the institution systems, and various registers.

As a business analyst, I was responsible for, among other things, aligning and refining business rules and processes, use cases and user stories, XSDs, interfaces (APIs, RESTful, YAML, SOAP, XML) with internal and external parties, agreements with domain architects, and communicating chosen solutions within the team and to customers nationwide. Problems during implementation were often due to peculiar and illogical laws and regulations and expert decisions, often intended to resolve historical issues.

As deputy product owner, I supported the product owner by performing team-related tasks, such as maintaining and prioritizing the backlog, leading planning sessions, and creating sprint reports. Because the product owner was incapacitated for a long period due to an accident shortly after I started, I performed all product owner tasks from October 2020 to August 2021. After his return, the internally focused product owner tasks remained with me.

Following a tender at DUO, large parts of the status allocation teams were replaced, resulting in the teams performing poorly. In the period from July 2022 to August 2023, I took over the scrum master role to get the teams back on track. After this was successful, the scrum master role was reassigned within the teams.

At AMAG, I was employed as a senior business analyst on the project to renew the dealer workbench (DWB), the application dealers use to order vehicles. The new application uses SAP Fiori. For the new DWB, I gathered requirements, structured processes, created use cases, and assisted with testing the application. DWB is scheduled to go live on January 1st.
