Dorothée Van Agt

The American association PINK BOOTS SOCIETY was created in 2007 by Teri Fahrendorf, a brewer in Oregon. This organization strives to bring together women who earn all or part of their income from fermented beverages, whether employees or managers, whether they are brewers, involved in distribution, in a beer shop or bar, beer sommeliers or consultants. The association's goal is to promote mutual aid and exchange between women, organize meetings, and fund training, as well as promote the work and expertise of women in the fermented beverage industry in France and worldwide. The French Chapter (France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Monaco) was officially recognized on May 21, 2021, by the Board of Directors of the Pink Boots Society in the USA. The French association was founded in March 2022. Membership is open to women and non-binary individuals who meet the membership criteria:

- Professionals or retirees from the beer market who hold an active position and earn 25% or more of their income from this market, or who have retired after at least 15 years in this market,

- Project leaders or those in the process of creating a business that will be related to the brewing sector, upon approval by one or more board members,

- Students enrolled in a study program specializing in beer.
