The role involves managing patients with acute conditions, particularly during their transport to an appropriate medical facility for optimal care. This is a mission carried out within a multidisciplinary team and ensures the maintenance of the patient's vital functions during transport. In such situations, transport adds an extra layer of stress for the patient, who is already weakened by their condition. Therefore, the practice requires practical and theoretical medical knowledge of acute medical care, with each intervention adapted to the patient based on their medical history, type of pathology, gender, and age.

Development of a prospective study on the causes of non-compliance among adolescents born with HIV+. The study included young people aged 12 to 22 followed at the Saint-Pierre University Hospital in Brussels (a reference infectious disease center) for HIV infection since birth. It aimed to prospectively collect a set of information explaining the reasons for non-compliance with HIV treatment among adolescents. This delicate task required tact, empathy, and discretion, as well as inspiring confidence in the subjects to gather the necessary information to successfully conduct the study. A statistical analysis followed the data collection to conclude the main causes of this treatment non-adherence and to guide the multidisciplinary team towards a more adequate medical strategy for the subjects concerned. A scientific article was written and published on this subject to share our experience.

Prospective study involving data collection from medical records on the causes of emergency room revisits by patients within a 72-hour period. The task was followed by an analysis of the records, comparing the first and second visits to highlight recurring factors (pathology, diagnostic elements implemented, patient's social environment) among the selected patients, and to draw conclusions for improving the department's care.
