Mission scope: establish a diagnosis of the relationship between the Purchase and Finance departments and present a concrete action plan to management.

Action plan implemented over a few months with the following results:

Creation of a new working framework with new methodologies to meet financial requirements for reporting and cash management. Redefining the process for calculating purchase income and net profitability.

Collaboration with buyers to review contracts for optimization.

Suggestion for data automation, exchanges with the IT department for implementation and construction of the structure in a Data Lake.

Onboarding and training of a new internal employee following the changes made.

Maxeda DIY Group is the largest Do It Yourself retailer in the Benelux with Praxis stores in the Netherlands and Brico and BricoPlanit in Belgium and Luxembourg.

Initial context of the mission: vacant position to be urgently filled due to staff shortage in the Controlling team.

Following the analysis of the existing IT Controller function for one month, a proposal for transformation of the function was made to gain efficiency and save time, highlighting the role of Financial IT Partner.

Presentation of a change plan to the Controlling Manager (priorities, stakeholders, timing, desired outcome).

Facilitator role in this context: creating concrete and regular links with the Accounting department and the IT management team, emphasizing interconnections for cohesion and energy, seeking optimization, using the Agile method, building a calendar of changes and adaptations required for the change addressed to stakeholders.

Redefinition of roles and responsibilities at the IT (Administrative Support and Management), Accounting, and Controlling levels.

Onboarding and coaching of the new internal employee.

Transformation of a full-time position to a maximum of half-time.

Short mission: analysis and recommendation for Billing Process optimization.
