David Wignall

I am a values driven HR/OD professional with a broad range of experience working within large, complex businesses primarily within the Health and Further Education sectors. With a strong leaning towards Organisational Development, Learning & Development, Project Management and Recruitment/Reward. I am currently completing my contract at the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care System (BNSSG ICS) leading on a programme of work that has doubled the coaching capacity of the health and care providers in the region and implemented a series of OD interventions and recruitment / retention initiatives. This position was the fourth short term contract that I have completed since Autumn 2020 when I left my traditional career route to care for a terminally ill relative.

Over the last two years I have worked a number of temporary contracts Programme Managing the project governance and launch of Director and Partner Leadership Development Programmes at a big four financial services firm, implementing IM&T graduate scheme across Yorkshire and the North East for a Healthcare Technology Think Tank and a year working within a Mental Health Trust in Wakefield supporting them with Learning and Organisational Development consultancy for internal and regional projects. During this role I also refreshed my training design and delivery skills supporting clinical educators with online training delivery.

I am a qualified psychometrician and a licensed Insights Discovery Facilitator who is comfortable delivering to teams at all levels.

My passion is reducing inequality in all its guises and I believe the way to do this is through authentic leadership, clear communication and honest conversations. I am a skilled people manager who has managed teams ranging from 5-45. I also have experience presenting to executive level staff, speaking at conferences and managing large budgets, most notably £2.3m during my time in the health sector.
