About David

I've always created content, even before we had content strategists. I started writing back in 1984. Over the years, I've called myself a writer, journalist, copywriter, and broadcaster. However, these days I define myself as a content strategist as I create such a diverse range of content for my clients.

This week, for instance, I'm working on content for a new website for a client in Greece. In addition, I've written a feature on plastic packaging for a specialist trade magazine—a presentation for a US client in the packaging space, a feature on the ethics of AI, and ghostwritten a CEO thought-leadership piece.

I also oversee the content on Silicon.co.uk and write regular features about the tech and business aspects of HR and process management. And over the last two years, I have created podcasts for several business clients, hosted dozens of webinars and roundtables, and moderated several panels at major tech events in the UK.

I've been a tech journalist since the days of dial-up modems. For me, tech has always been a fascination. How shiny new stuff works attracts me. So, I became a tech journalist as the first review I wrote back in the mid-80s I sold to one of the early personal computer magazines. Since then, I've tracked how tech has evolved, changing the very society we live in.
Businesses often ask me to explain their technology to specific audiences. This could be consumers or technically literate readers who want to understand what the tech can do for them.

When I have my journalist hat on, editors from leading websites and magazines come to me for fresh editorial ideas. My knowledge as a technology and business specialist has become comprehensive and detailed.
