My very technical background, thanks to my engineering training in France and the United States, allowed me to join the video game industry in Japan. I worked mainly on the development of video game engines for consoles.

    Bitcraft specializes in backend development and turnkey solutions for integrating multiplayer functionality in the field of video games.

    Our major backend project was certainly the development of Final Fantasy Explorers Force, a real-time multiplayer RPG released in Japan in March 2013. Bitcraft took care of the implementation and support of the entire network architecture to support the load required by an opus of such a license, but also the development of the entire server code, including the game logic which was mainly done server-side.

    In parallel with this main activity, bitcraft also develops web tools, for internal or external use. These tools can be directly linked to our activity in games (server deployment, monitoring, content management, etc.), but also for other clients from other industries.

    Finally, a final sector that is developing within bitcraft is the development of mobile applications, native or hybrid.

    Research and development in the field of video game engines and new generation rendering techniques.

    Here are some examples of projects I have worked on.

    ▪ Development of a multiplatform video game engine in a team of 5 engineers. My work within this team focused mainly on managing the shader pipeline and GPU commands, composing effects, and integrating with the rest of the engine.

    ▪ Development of an augmented reality solution offering markerless tracking. This product made real-time tracking possible on PC as well as on mobile, in an environment with neither visual marker nor sensor, without also requiring pre-registration of the environment in question. This solution was then improved by adding real-time reconstruction of the visualized surface, making it possible to render coherent occlusion and the integration of physically realistic 3D elements.

    ▪ Development of a 3D modeling application capable of generating 3D objects from any 2D shapes created by the user.
