Joined GIG to form part of a new team in charge to automate affiliate marketing compliance within the iGaming industry. We did this by creating a crawler able to extract images, text, and links across thousands of web pages of interest to the client.

Highlights from the product include:
• Backend written in Django, using Celery, Redis, Postgres and RabbitMQ
• Frontend written in VueJS
• Deployed on bare metal machines using Ansible to set them up
• Used AWS services like S3
• Served app using Gunicorn, and Nginx
• Application of Convolution Neural Networks for object detection in images;
• Infrastructure has been scaled considerably to crawl millions of websites a month;

Other projects included a
• A highly performant web app written in GoLang (due to critical response time), and using GCP for Load Balancing;
• Development of different APIs written Django Rest Framework

All applications written were dockerized. I started off as a Junior Python Developer and progressed to a Senior member of the team during my time at GIG.
