For many years I have specialized in the design of rolling bearings and bearing–shaft systems across a wide range of sectors, from civil to military, and from industrial to biomedical, railway, wind and nuclear energy, machine tools, generators, electric motors, aerospace, to name just a few examples.

By analyzing the requirements, I am able to design the most suitable rolling bearing for the application, even under extreme conditions, using analytical tools, CAD, FEM, and extensive experience. When standard catalog bearings no longer meet the system’s requirements, I can make my greatest contribution.

In rolling bearings design, the devil is in the details. What conformity should be assigned to the raceways? What radial/axial clearance? What contact angle? What tolerances for the interface surfaces? And further, which steel and which heat treatment should be chosen? What type of spacer for balls or rollers is most suitable? What is the best lubricant? What geometric and form errors are acceptable? Being able to find the right answers to these questions truly makes the difference in the performance of rolling bearings.
