About Damien

Since the age of 7, music has been an integral part of my life. I started with the piano, then the drums, and I quickly knew that my passion would go far beyond simply playing music. My uncle, co-founder of the Condorcet studio in Toulouse, opened the doors to this fascinating world for me. Although the studio closed its doors a long time ago, it was thanks to him that I became a sound engineer.

Subsequently, I became a live sound technician in the Toulouse region, working with local bands and theater groups. I also took on the technical responsibility for a performance venue in my city. Unfortunately, this venue had to close its doors due to lack of profitability and municipal support for modernization.

Before leaving France, I composed a song for the artist Gwen Bovilan titled "J’écris une nouvelle histoire" (I'm writing a new story). I then went to Switzerland to change my environment and deepen my skills. I continued to compose tracks such as "Cuba Latina", "Erotica Love", "You Make Me Feel Good", as well as demo intros.

It was in Switzerland that I crossed paths with a small radio station, for which I created all the jingles and audio advertisements. I also collaborated with one of my uncles who produces advertising videos for cinema, by creating the sound design, mixing, and mastering for his projects. I then diversified my activities: musical composition for a therapist, mixing and mastering of podcasts for a life coach, creation of intros and mixes for a YouTuber named Dycamics. I also worked on the sound design and musical composition for a short film, with several ongoing projects still awaiting release.

Today, I continue to mix and master for young artists, while exploring new opportunities for musical creation.

A computer equipped with a digital audio workstation (DAW) is recommended.
Headphones or monitoring speakers for accurate listening.

    IN A FEW WORDS...

Mixing or Mastering is knowing how to listen and react appropriately to what you hear.
The training "Mixing and Mastering in Home-Studio: advanced techniques for finalizing a production", organized by Studio Breton, offers to make the most of current software solutions in sound with high-end plugins. Know-how and the choice of tools are at the center of the curriculum.

The training will allow the participant to enrich their "mixing and mastering toolbox" by looking at other less common but equally essential effects and processes: saturation, multi-band compression by EQ, spectral tools...

The pedagogical progression will offer the participant to strengthen their learning and skills through systematic application of the theoretical concepts presented. Each beginning or end of the day will conclude with a critical, constructive, and collective listening session.
