I worked at Chapsvision on the complete redesign of their judicial interception software used by investigators for the analysis of phone taps and digital data.
The legacy system no longer kept up with the evolution of telephony usage. The interception volumes had become too large, causing performance issues that prevented the smooth exploitation of recordings.

Actions taken:

- Led the complete redesign from a thick client to a modern web application in Blazor WebAssembly, supervising 2 to 3 developers
- Defined product roadmaps aligned with business needs and arbitrated technical and functional priorities
- Designed and developed a dedicated interface for judicial interception with high-performance REST APIs and a modular front-end using Blazor components
- Optimized the MySQL database to handle significant volumes of sensitive data
- Implemented bidirectional synchronization between the old and new system to ensure operational continuity during the migration
- Integrated RabbitMQ for asynchronous communication between services and automated updates via MySQL triggers
- Maintained and evolved critical legacy systems in parallel, without disruption for users

I was commissioned by Sunlight Solutions, a software publisher for the insurance sector, to take over the technical lead following the sudden departure of the tech lead two weeks after the project launch.

The company was building a development team in France to create a modernized B2C front-end for American insurance companies, aiming to deliver a more intuitive interface, less costly to maintain and host, and capable of meeting the expectations of users unfamiliar with old systems.

Actions taken:

- Took over technical leadership and progressively upskilled the French team, growing from 1 to 3 developers
- Complete redesign of the UX/UI: contextual dashboards, dynamic menus, drag & drop, sticky headers, advanced sorting in tables to streamline navigation
- Integration of a video streaming system to enhance user experience and meet new business needs
- Modernization of the front-end and back-end architecture: migration to robust patterns (MVC, SOLID), refactoring of JS libraries (ES6+), improvement of performance and maintainability
- Migration of the infrastructure to Azure Cloud with the implementation of CI/CD via Azure DevOps to secure deployments and accelerate deliveries
