About Cyril

Doctor in optical instrumentation (PhD conducted in an astrophysics laboratory), here are the two main achievements of my doctorate:
- the study, design, and installation of the SPICA-VIS spectro-interferometer at the Côte d'Azur Observatory (OCA). This instrument is now operational at CHARA (Mount Wilson, USA) where it will measure a thousand stellar diameters over the next three years.
- programming the Python package "cophaSIM" capable of simulating a control loop in N-dimensional space.
- the study and optimization of the SPICA-FT fringe tracker, a multi-dimensional control system to compensate for atmospheric disturbance.

I am currently a part-time postdoctoral researcher at OCA, continuing the qualification of SPICA-FT while starting a freelance activity in parallel.

My drivers are curiosity and innovation.
I wish to help you with your projects by bringing my expertise in optical design (Zemax OpticStudio software) acquired during engineering school and perfected during my doctorate.
My programming experience with the Python language can also be useful to you.

I can help you:
- with the implementation of your optical instrument idea thanks to my mastery of the OpticStudio ray tracing software and my AIT/AIV (Assembly, Integration, Testing, and Validation) experience acquired with the SPICA project,
- to assist you in the development of your optical bench (remote advice or on-site operations),
- with the development of an intermediate-level computer program in Python.
