About Cyril

Who am I?

Hello, I'm Cyril, a freelance JavaScript Fullstack developer.
I design custom websites, web applications, and platforms with a high level of technical and visual requirement:Next.js App Router, React, Node.js, custom back-offices, databases, Stripe e-commerce, SEO, performance, VPS deployment, and responsive web/mobile.

Formerly a journalist specializing in digital cultures and the internet, and always passionate about machines, networks, and interfaces, I now approach development as true product design work: solid architecture, fluid user experience, modern interfaces, and solutions built to last.

I work on ambitious redesigns as well as complete creations of platforms, SaaS, business tools, or e-commerce sites.

Why hire me?

I master the entire modern development chain around the JavaScript ecosystem: React, Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Stripe, generative AI, APIs, deployment, and optimization.

My goal is not just to "code a website," but to build reliable, high-performance tools adapted to the real needs of your users and your business.

Responsive (I'll reply within the hour!), involved, and attentive, I prioritize clear communication, serious project follow-up, and direct collaboration with my clients.

  • Numéro K
    Fullstack JS Developer + DevOps
    LUXURY GOODS
    January 2026 - March 2026 (2 months)
    Paris, France
Numéro K is a personal project combining artisanal product and digital platform. The concept is simple: one bottle of fruit kefir per week, offered to a community of members through an online auction.

    Description of work done
For Numéro K, I designed and developed the entire platform, with a simple and robust fullstack architecture.

    Fullstack Architecture
TypeScript monorepo with clear separation between the public site and the business API.

    Stack:
    - Next.js 15 (App Router) + React 19
    - Fastify for the API
    - PostgreSQL + Drizzle ORM
    - JWT authentication + session cookies
    - Transactional email via Brevo
The application is organized as a monorepo with two main applications:
    - apps/web: public site and user interface
    - apps/api: business logic (auctions, members, notifications)

    Front-end
Sleek and editorial interface, designed around the principle of weekly release:
    - homepage presenting the Numéro K concept
    - "edition of the week" page with photo, description, current price, and bid history
    - countdown to auction closing
    - responsive design optimized for desktop and mobile

    Bidding System
The core of the project relies on a simple bidding mechanism:
    - only one active auction at a time
    - placing a bid higher than the current price
    - real-time bid history
    - automatic closing at the end of the week
The system ensures the consistency of competing bids through PostgreSQL transactional locks.

    Member Area & Back-office
    The site includes:
    - account creation and secure authentication
    - placing bids by members
    - email notifications for new edition openings
An administrator back-office allows for creating and publishing editions, managing members, and sending notifications.

    Deployment
Fullstack application ready to be deployed on a Linux VPS with Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Nginx.

  • DOMAINE D'ARNHEIM
    J.-F.Fourcade Bookstore
    E-COMMERCE
    October 2025 - January 2026 (3 months)
    Paris, France
For the J.-F. Fourcade Bookstore, I carried out a complete redesign of the site. The project's objectives were multiple: modernize the interface without altering the bookstore's identity, significantly improve performance and natural referencing, structure a true e-commerce site, and above all, provide the bookseller with complete autonomy in the daily management of the catalog via a custom back-office.

    Fullstack development with Next.js:
    > Unified stack: front + back + API + administration with Next.js App Router, no external backend.
    > Combined use of server-side rendering (SSR), Server Actions, and Route Handlers to ensure performance, security, and SEO.
    > Maintainable and scalable fullstack architecture, designed for a long-term project.

    Front-end:
    > Complete graphic redesign, sleek and elegant, true to the spirit of a rare bookshop.
    > Responsive design optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
    > Editorial highlighting of books from the homepage (selections, new arrivals, showcases).
    > Development of detailed book pages: description, multiple images, authors, year, publisher, price.
    > Redesigned navigation: fixed menu, persistent footer, carousels, editorial blocks.

    + Advanced search & navigation:
    + Custom back-office:
    + Database & data migration
+ E-commerce features (Stripe Element integration)
    + SEO, performance & compliance + Deployment & DevOps

The Bookstore now has a modern, high-performance, and sustainable site, perfectly suited to its specialized bookselling business. The client benefits from complete autonomy over their catalog, a reliable e-commerce tool, and a solid technical foundation for confidently planning future developments (print catalogs, exports, statistics, advanced features).

This is the second mission I've entrusted to Cyril, and I don't regret it! He previously handled the Front-end of my site, and has now taken over the entire Back-end (API, databases, security, technical updates...). His full-stack skills are incredible. I will definitely use his services again, it's a no-brainer. I highly recommend this freelancer!
