Sole DevOps Engineer for Revium, a small Irish start up of 7 full time employees, delivering an AI enhanced salesleads outreach platform. Delivered technicalsupport, and upgraded application infrastructure, providing consistent deployments, and CI/CD tooling. Progressed to handling security / compliance system review and concerns,specifically Google CASA.

• • Migrated infrastructure from AWS EC2 instances to Elastic Container Service and CloudFront. Containerised 4 javascript services and configured; Load Balancers, VPN, DNS, least-privilege security groups, and CloudFormation (IaC). Established experimental test environment and cleaned up QA branch to alleviate deployment issues. Implemented new CI/CD pipeline in GitHub Actions for portable builds, repeatable deployments and easy rollback option, with PR triggered deployments.

• • Delivered technical support and incident management, resolving infrastructure and deployment issues. Implemented CloudWatch dashboards and alarms, improving visibility, reducing response times. Coordinated bug fixes between Customer, Product, and Engineering teams. Supported onboarding of first major customers, managing critical system crashes, joining customer calls, and independently resolving bugs in code when needed.

• • Led Google CASA security review for compliance, covering 50+ questions, based partly on OWASP standards. Conducted in-depth investigation into the code base and architecture, addressing complex security requirements. Implemented infrastructure and code changes independently, while delegating tickets to meet compliance deadline.

Started as a Full Stack Engineer, and progressed to DevOps Team Lead with Webio, an Irish start-up, delivering a conversational / messaging platform with automated chat-bot solutions, in-house machine learning / AI analysis, and logic for massinstant messaging by SMS, Whatsapp, Webchat, Facebook, Viber.

• • Led and mentored DevOps/QA team of 4, to deliver modern build and deploy processes, efficient infrastructure, increased stability and scalability, planning and managing larger refactor jobs, and building automated end-to-end tests of the full stack.

• • Led migration of applications / services from monolith windows servers to containers over AWS ECS / Fargate (serverless computing), creating IaC in AWS Cloudformation for each service / infrastructure requirement, as well as re-working build and deploy servers to Gitlab CI/CD pipelines.

• • Monitored application / infrastructure performance, wrote warning alarms, monitored costing, and optimised architecture.

• • Started as full stack developer, delivering features, and assisting with support tickets, P1 system down incidents.

Worked as IT assistant, and data analyst for ERP system upgrade at Instant UpRight, a scaffolding manufacturer.
