Clément Buisson

Actuary graduated from ISFA (Institute of Financial and Insurance Science) and having discovered the insurance and consulting sectors, I wish to leverage my skills and methods in terms of organization and rigor as a freelancer.

During an internship in consulting, I became familiar with mortality tables and their related probability calculations, in provisioning for health and personal insurance (work stoppages, disability, etc.). I also used internal calculation software, in constant contact with developers, and created provisioning calculation models in this area.

During my work-study program within a large insurance group, I modeled the profitability of life and savings insurance contracts on Excel/VBA. I learned to analyze and interpret stochastic calculation data and results. I am also finalizing a thesis on the recovery of profitability for life insurance products in a low-interest-rate environment.

Finally, during my first post-graduation experience in consulting, I evolved in a very challenging and formative environment. I was responsible for calculating provisions for social benefits (Retirement Departure Indemnities, Long Service Awards, retirement plans, etc.) through all stages of the missions: Data analysis, exchanges with clients (French and international), provisioning calculations, IFRS 17 accounting, writing actuarial reports.

I prefer using Excel for my work as I am used to this software, but I can adapt to other methods/tools. I can also provide neat reports, particularly with the use of LaTeX.
