These young people face a range of challenges, from an unlivable home situation to being put on the streets without any compassion after coming out. The documentary explores who these young people are, the impact this has on their lives, and where they end up. 'Verstoten' tells the candid story of two young people who share how they ended up on the streets and the challenges they have overcome. They share personal experiences about their lives on the streets, the dangers they face, and their experiences with shelters. The threat of alcohol, drugs, and prostitution remains a constant presence in the lives of these young people.
