Claire Salem

An anthropologist by training (EHESS, Cambridge, Sussex), I offer expertise in qualitative research, program evaluation, and project engineering within the fields of social policy and the social and solidarity economy. My career has been built at the intersection of fundamental research and institutional action: five years of action-research in priority neighborhoods in Paris, under a CIFRE agreement with the City of Paris and EHESS, focusing on parenting support practices and social policies. I currently contribute to impact measurement and partnership development within the association Lit uP, which specializes in preventing school dropout. I have also taught qualitative methodology and social anthropology in social work schools.

I work at the interface between research teams, public institutions, private foundations, and associative actors. My qualitative profile complements that of experts with quantitative or clinical approaches: evaluation of action-research protocols, interview analysis, reporting to decision-makers, and processing funding applications.

My long-standing associative commitments (BAAM, ATD Quart Monde, La Chorba, Oasis 18, etc.) are a natural extension of this approach.
