Christoph Vieweg – Visual Artist, Illustrator & Printmaker from Berlin
I am Christoph Vieweg, a freelance illustrator and visual artist with a Master's degree in Visual Communication, based in Berlin. My works are hand-drawn, narrative illustrations / graphics that balance between figuration and abstraction. I work experimentally, multi-layered and expressively on complex themes from literature, society and current events.
The news series »Soweit die Meldungen 2025/2025« is my visual news diary: 730 drawings reflecting media, language, and current events. I am currently planning a book about it, which is intended to serve as a reflection of media, public perception, and reality in a present characterized by information density.
Editorial illustration for magazines such as Reportagen, Freitag, and DSW Journal is a central focus. I also create broad illustration series, for example for the music festival Nachtdigital. In addition to textile design (caps, shirts, hoodies), free drawing series, and graphic commissions such as covers, posters, and logos.
