About Christopher

I come from purchasing. For over 10 years, I was responsible for purchasing volumes between €45 and €100 million in corporations like BIOTRONIK and Medicover, negotiated with suppliers worldwide, and restructured procurement structures. When Medicover used to let 30 labs and clinics purchase individually, and I turned it into central purchasing - that saves money and ensures quality - I like those kinds of things.

In 2017, I started looking for suppliers in China myself. First for a consulting project with lights for clinics, then more and more often. I now fly there every year, negotiate prices directly at the factory, walk through productions, and look at the people I make contracts with. It's a different world than purchasing from the office, and I am convinced that you can only understand Asia if you are there regularly.

In 2022, I co-founded my own company. LED lighting modernization for industry and commerce, plus our own product brand. Today, we have a turnover of about €3.5 million with 23 employees at two locations. From buyer to entrepreneur, that was a step that put a lot into perspective. Since then, I've seen both sides: the corporate view of a supplier and the supplier's view of a corporation. That helps in every conversation.
