I joined Ecoly to maintain and add new features to the React Native mobile application.

In early 2021, I primarily worked on updating frontend dependencies that had been delayed since 2019. To improve developers' daily work, I added VS Code configurations and enabled ESLint rules. We also wrote numerous guidelines (Apollo, React Router, TypeScript...), I created TypeScript quizzes for team upskilling, and I worked on improving the adoption of web app versions for students. I also provided consulting for all frontend-related questions. In June, I participated in the graphical redesign, particularly on the theming architecture of the Ornikar design system. Then, a new project began for redesigning a React Native mobile application, which I supported, especially in setting up a new React Native/Appcenter stack and in defining a native-first strategy in collaboration with React Native experts. Following this, in late 2021, I supported the creation of a new mobile application for students. It was released in March 2022, and I continued the transition towards this new native-first strategy, particularly on our design system. In Q3, I led the frontend education chapter, organizing workshops, creating and monitoring the tech roadmap for the chapter, and implementing incident management (bug creation/tracking/production monitoring process). I also worked on implementing Yarn Berry, which saves time locally and in CI. In 2023, I worked on the frontend roadmap, the update to Node 18, a route system for both web and native, migrating the design system to Native-Base then Tamagui, among other things. I provided all the necessary guidance for developers to continue after my departure.
