About Christophe

I want to help business leaders make the best decisions around their commercial and marketing strategy.

Having spent my childhood in Kinshasa (Capital of the former Zaire), I returned to France prematurely following a war, abandoning everything to rebuild my life in a country I did not know… My own. Certainly the 1st challenge of my life: adapting to a new life.

I then worked in insurance where I turned around agencies on behalf of various companies, then I became a General Agent. This experience taught me to establish strategies and solve complex problems.

On the side, passionate about mountain biking to the point of competing, I had an accident during a European Cup. Forced to stop competing, I then decided to make a living from my passion by creating ThirtyOne, my own bicycle brand. This taught me to master all the stages from the design to the marketing of innovative and highly competitive products.

Today, my goal is to put my experience at your service to optimize your processes and develop your business.

ThirtyOne is a bicycle brand that I created in 2013. We were the first electric Vélib' in France and the first bicycle that recharges upon deceleration.

This earned us the "Coup de Coeur" (Favorite) company award in Occitanie and the "Most Innovative Company" award in Haute Garonne.

Within this company, I developed my skills in:

    - Commercial strategy for local authorities, businesses, and individuals: setting up distribution networks, managing sales teams, defining new distribution models, researching new markets...

    - Marketing and communication strategy: strong command of social media where I implemented innovative methods for prospecting and selling on major networks. Mastery of growth hacking (community of 55,000 newsletter subscribers), press relations (privileged contacts with approximately 150 journalists). To date, I have conducted around 400 interviews (France Inter, France 5, Le Point, BFM, Radio France...).

    - Product and innovation strategy: developing specifications, sourcing, purchasing from Taiwan and Europe, selecting industrial partners, prototyping, production setup, homologation...

    - Organizational strategy: Optimizing company resources, human resources, production, and managing employee performance...

I have a good knowledge of the institutional and economic players in Occitanie and nationally (Senate, Occitanie Region, Haute Garonne Department, Toulouse Métropole, Dirrecte, Ademe, CCI...)

    Lecturer
    EDUCATION AND E-LEARNING
    January 2019 - July 2019 (6 months)
    Toulouse, France
I taught communication and marketing to 3rd, 4th, and 5th-year students. I managed classes of 20 to 30 students.

My lectures focused on 6 key areas:

    - How to have an effective and differentiating marketing strategy
    - How to implement an effective press relations campaign
    - How to master social media: Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter
    - How to manage your image on these social networks
    - How to grow your community (growth hacking)
    - How to convert your community into business

On this last point, I developed innovative techniques that allow precise targeting of business sectors within defined geographical areas (e.g., directors of company X in Toulouse). We no longer engage in proactive prospecting; it is the management team that contacts us for information. This allows for privileged contact and a very high sales rate.

  • GENERALI FRANCE
    General Agent
    BANKING AND INSURANCE
    September 2001 - December 2009 (8 years and 3 months)
    Saint-Gaudens, France
After starting in insurance as a salesperson for life insurance products, I managed several insurance agencies on behalf of companies (managing profit centers) and then bought the Generali agency in Saint Gaudens.

My role was to identify problems (improving organization, profitability, procedures...) and provide adapted solutions, then to increase turnover.

My largest agency had an income of €2,000,000 with a staff of 5 people, including 3 sedentary sales representatives.
