Hello from Berlin!
I am Christian Lengfeld. For many years, I have been working with organizations that are under strong pressure to change. Growth, reorganizations, integrations, digitalization, and currently, above all, AI, are changing structures, processes, and decision-making paths faster than organizations can often react.
In my work, I repeatedly see a similar pattern: The technology is there. The strategies are formulated. The will to change is also there. And yet, the impact in everyday life remains limited. Decisions take too long, processes don't mesh, responsibility is unclear, and leadership is becoming increasingly demanding.
I am concerned with the question of how organizations must be structured to remain capable of action even under complexity? My focus is on organization, processes, and decision-making ability. I work to translate strategy in such a way that it functions and becomes effective in everyday life. For me, this includes clarifying decision-making logic, cleanly designing roles and responsibilities, and creating structures that provide orientation rather than generating additional complexity.
A particular focus of my work currently lies on the question of why digitalization and AI are technically possible in many companies but do not take hold organizationally. In my experience, scaling rarely fails due to the technology itself, but because processes, working methods, and decision-making structures are not aligned with it. AI reinforces existing strengths but also makes existing weaknesses very visible.
I support organizations in closing precisely this gap. Not with tool introductions or method programs, but with a clear focus on workability, controllability, and responsibility. This becomes particularly relevant in times of upheaval, after reorganizations, or in post-merger situations.
