I’m the founder of Telmtron, an embedded systems consultancy specialising in building real-world, connected and interactive systems.
I work with start-ups, scale-ups, and creative teams to turn ideas into working products; whether that’s a new device, a prototype to prove an interaction, or a system that needs to perform reliably in production.
Most engagements involve taking projects from concept to a reliable, working system, including:
- Bringing up new hardware and writing firmware from scratch
- Integrating sensors, actuators, and communication systems
- Building prototypes to test functionality and user interaction
- Developing production-ready embedded software
- Creating robust demo systems for exhibitions and technical marketing
I work across the full embedded stack:
- Microcontrollers (bare metal / RTOS)
- Embedded Linux
- Multi-core and virtualised systems
- Custom schedulers and system architecture
- Hardware prototyping and 3D printing
I’m particularly interested in projects that combine software with the physical world, including:
- 'Internet of Things' (IoT) and connected devices
- Interactive installations and creative technology
- Robotics, sensing, and real-time control
I also build supporting tools, including desktop applications for testing, production, and firmware deployment.
