I write for My Health Teams, a collection of social sites for people with chronic medical conditions. I translate complex medical topics into easy-to-read guides, follow strict research and citation guidelines, balance the tug of war between SEO and readability in the medical space, and maintain an empathetic (but never patronizing) tone. So far, I've covered a variety of topics, including kidney cancer, kidney disease, menopause, diabetes, allopecia, myasthenia gravis, and more.

I returned to my former role as a kid safety and senior safety subject matter expert (SME) for SafeWise.com, but as a freelancer instead of a staff writer. This time, I'm doing more hands-on testing; writing, filming, and starring in YouTube videos; and managing projects and freelancers. I'm also producing data reports from ideation to publication, assisting with content strategy, and revising content templates for UX.

I've also been able to write and edit for another Clearlink brand, Move.org, and assist with UX and copywriting.

I write pharmaceutical and health guides for SingleCare. I interview healthcare providers, follow strict sourcing and citation requirements, and follow SEO best practices. While most of my assignments are net-new or total rewrites, I do sometimes edit existing articles to bring them up-to-date. I've written many articles about health insurance coverage, GLP-1s, and various medication side effects. I've even been able to write about pet health!
