Melrakki is the result of the meeting between two nature enthusiasts, Carine Sandon, an artists' agent, and Adrien Favre, a professional wildlife photographer.

Both highly sensitive to the protection of living beings, they wanted to create Melrakki, a publishing house entirely dedicated to projects by authors, illustrators, and photographers committed through their artistic approach to defending Nature and the animal world. Thus, for each editorial project, a portion of the profits is donated to a wildlife protection association.

Melrakki aims to be responsible, both through its editorial line and in the very conception of the books. This is why they have chosen to work exclusively with French printers with the Imprim'vert label and PEFC and FSC certifications.

Sometimes mischievous, other times a messenger, always imbued with a particular sensitivity, the fox – which holds an important place in Adrien Favre's work – is the animal best suited to represent this editorial line.

The name Melrakki, the Icelandic word for polar foxes, symbolizes all the gentleness and fragility of the living world around us that we must protect.
