    How to optimize the communication and marketing of eco-responsible brands to inspire consumer trust?

    Observation:Despite an attraction to the subject, eco-responsible purchasing behaviors do not follow the growing sensitivity of consumers.

    My study highlighted thenumerous existing barriersto this, such as cost, lack of information, sometimes lacking credibility, or lack of time to search for information. Furthermore, existing stereotypes about the responsible consumer do not help: they are either seen as an unattainable model or judged too negatively.

    This results in **skepticism**, judgment, and a negative attitude towards this mode of consumption, which is a break from mass consumerism. Consumers find it difficult to believe in the values and commitments of brands: trust is broken.

    Brands also have a role to play in this lack of trust. The review highlightedbad practices and greenwashingthat can occur. It seems that brands do not know how to properly market and sell eco-responsible consumption, seeing more of the business aspect that this 'trend' can inspire.

    These 4 hypotheses for the lack of consumer trust could be validated:
    - The role of honesty of eco-responsible brands,
    - Their role as a guide,
    - Their values,
    - Their positive reputation regarding consumer trust.
