Calliope Hindricq

A graduate of the School of International Interpreters – Faculty of Translation and Interpreting at the University of Mons in Belgium since June 2021, I began my career as a freelance translator in January 2022.

I completed a Master's degree in specialized translation with a multidisciplinary focus, which allowed me to specialize in the technical, legal, and medical fields, as well as in tourism, ecology, and gastronomy. During my studies, the focus was therefore on translating specialized documents, but also on the importance of terminology and culture.

Thanks to this Master's degree, I can translate various types of documents (general, specialized, and literary texts), but also perform some translations in the opposite direction (FR > EN/NL) since my training introduced me to this practice. In addition, I have basic knowledge of Spanish and Swedish for translating simpler texts.

Having completed my thesis in subtitling, I can also handle audiovisual translations.

I have already worked with SDL Trados, MemoQ, and SubtitleEdit, but I adapt easily and am therefore open to using other software if needed.
