Burak Korkmaz Schwichow

Burak Korkmaz advises on data visualization for all graphic elements and is responsible for the graphic implementation of infographic creation and corporate & editorial design.

Korkmaz (Communication Design BA in Münster, MA in Düsseldorf) is a freelance communication designer. Since 2013, he has worked as a visual consultant and communication designer with various communication and design initiatives, primarily in Germany, but also in Europe. In addition to editorial design and the creation of infographics, his work focuses on the development and design of corporate design for international clients from politics, business, and civil society. These include several programs of the Federal Foreign Office, as well as projects and campaigns for the European Movement Germany, Bertelsmann Stiftung, and Jacques Delors Institute - Berlin.

Since 2012, Korkmaz has been working as a visual consultant for the Green Party parliamentary groups in the state parliaments of North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Schleswig-Holstein, designing brochures and infographics for them. In 2016, he completed his master's degree in data visualization at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences with a thesis on the Gezi Park protests in Turkey and their consequences.

As part of the Design Biennale BIO 26 in Ljubljana, Korkmaz is exhibiting a type of mapping work on scientific misconduct in biomedicine. The exhibition was inaugurated there on November 14th:
